SciFiNow celebrates 50th issue

SciFiNow, the sci-fi magazine from Imagine Publishing, this month celebrates its 50th issue with Alastair Reynolds, one of the world’s leading sci-fi authors, guest editing the special edition.

Featuring a brand new look retro sci-fi section, Timewarp, as well as an enhanced review section and an epic anniversary special feature, SciFiNow issue 50 marks a new era for the magazine, say Imagine Publishing.

Alastair Reynolds, the bestselling author of Revelation Space and House Of Suns, who guest edits the issue, declared “It’s a great pleasure to have been asked to guest edit SciFiNow.”

Editor In Chief of SciFiNow, Aaron Asadi, stated “We are thrilled to have reached such a great milestone. The magazine is performing better than ever and really thriving in what has otherwise been a very challenging period for entertainment media. We believe the success of the brand is down to its quality and we genuinely feel that our fiftieth issue is our best yet – and it will only get better from here on in.”

Launched in 2007, SciFiNow claims to be a “sophisticated, accessible, fresh and authoritative look at science fiction, fantasy, horror and cult television. As relevant to those who grew up under the influence of Glen Larson as it is to those who only know the genre through JJ Abrams, the magazine also includes a unique retro ‘Timewarp’ section offering unprecedented access to the classic shows and films that made sci-fi what it is.”

In 2010, SciFiNow was awarded the Fantasy Horror Award for Best Magazine.
