Sheena Harvey to become new Editor of BBC Wildlife Magazine

Sheena Harvey will be joining Immediate Media as the new Editor of BBC Wildlife magazine from Monday 28th September replacing Matt Swaine.

Sheena began her career as a Sub-Editor in women’s magazines and TV listings. She has written on a wide range of topics and has been the Editor of a variety of national consumer and specialist titles including Bird Watching, Wild Travel, Landscape and Woman’s Weekly. Sheena was most recently an Editorial Consultant for Archant Ltd and prior to that the Editor of Discover Britain. The editorship of BBC Wildlife brings her back to the subject matter she most enjoys.

According to Sheena: “I am very excited to be joining BBC Wildlife. It is a great-looking magazine packed with interesting and thought-provoking features, and it has long been a favourite read of mine. I’m really looking forward to working with the talented team producing it.”

Marie Davies, Publisher, BBC Wildlife says: “We are delighted that an editor of Sheena’s ability is joining us. The editorship of BBC Wildlife brings her back to the subject matter she most enjoys and we are excited about working with her on developing the leading wildlife brand in the country.”
