ShortList launches TV Club

ShortList Magazine on Friday launched the ShortList TV Club – giving consumers exclusive access to see the “very best small-screen masterpieces” before anyone else, plus giving them the opportunity to meet the people behind them.

To kick things off the magazine hosted a screening of the first two episodes of the Netflix comedy Master Of None and the stars of the show – Aziz Ansari and Alessandra Mastronardi – took part in a live Q&A, hosted by BBC Radio One’s Ali Plumb.

The news follows the successful ShortList Film Club, which launched in 2015 and showcases a diverse range of films from foreign art house (Wild Tales, The Handmaiden) to action blockbusters (Creed, John Wick: Chapter 2), British comedies (Mindhorn) to Oscar winners (Bridge of Spies). This broad range of films represents and celebrates today’s movie-going experience, and champions the best of cinema today, say the publishers.

Liz Harriott, Film and Entertainment Director at ShortList Media said: “It’s an exciting time for TV. The quality of content has never been better and the multiple platforms and ways it can be consumed mean we can watch TV anywhere, at any time.”

“With such a busy entertainment landscape it is ShortList’s role to curate the best content out there for readers, as well as celebrate new launches and shows we think are right for our audience.”

“Expanding on from Film Club, TV Club aims to bring the best of the small screen to the big screen and create money-can’t-buy experiences for our readers.”
