Sports News Conference

Following the success of its first edition last year, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) is organising a second international conference dedicated to making the most from sports news.

The conference, "Making Sports News the Mainspring of Growth," will be held in Paris, France, on 3 and 4 February.

"Sport is first and foremost a passion," said Sandrine Proton at WAN-IFRA South West Europe, the organiser of the event. "That being the case, what are the best ways for newspaper groups to exploit this passion in order to grow their print and digital audiences as well as attract advertisers?

The conference, for senior executives from sports daily newspapers, national and regional dailies, on-line sports sites and magazines, will present the most relevant initiatives and best experiences of media groups for attracting readers,  developing new revenues and connecting communities.
