Stuff unveils innovative new website

The new site, which remains at the domain www.stuff.tv, provides gadget fans with the ultimate one-stop shop for news, reviews and videos, says Haymarket.

According to Haymarket, the site also introduces innovative new features:

• A startlingly original homescreen widget called the Inspir-o-tron, which gives both geeks and technophobes a way of finding their ideal gadget. By quickly specifying their preferences – using a beautiful and intuitive interface –the Inspiro-o-tron suggests a number of gadgets they might like to have.

• Product hubs, which gather together news, features, reviews and videos for any gadget, giving an instant overview and enabling easy access to Stuff’s in-depth and entertaining editorial.

• ‘Want’, ‘Got’ and ‘Had’ buttons on product hubs and reviews, which allow registered visitors to build up their profile, both for their own reference, and to share with the Stuff.tv community. Social network sharing is also seamlessly integrated into the site.

Simon Osborne-Walker, Stuff.tv editor, said: “Our goal with relaunching Stuff’s website was clear: it had to be as cutting-edge and entertaining as the magazine. In a competitive online market, people will come to www.stuff.tv not just to get the latest news and reviews, but also because the design and new features make it such a nice place to be.”

The redesigned www.stuff.tv, was designed in association with user-experience consultants Clearleft, and built on Drupal architecture.
