Sunday Times Style Magazine to publish largest ever edition

The Sunday Times Style magazine will publish its biggest ever issue this Sunday, September 18th 2016, with 184 perfect-bound pages.

The special edition, for London Fashion Week, is packed with fashion and beauty shoots and will showcase adverts from some of the world’s leading luxury brands, say the publishers.

This season, the big fashion special welcomes a raft of new luxury advertisers, including Balenciaga, Burberry, Paul Smith and Versace, who join the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Dior to make it the largest issue, not only in terms of pages but also in revenue.

According to The Sunday Times: the front cover features fashion icon Jane Fonda, while inside, features include an exclusive look at a new book celebrating 50 years of Dior beauty; Claudia Winkleman on her day out in Gucci’s fantastical autumn collection; enfant terrible Marc Jacobs slamming the fashion system; and Victoria’s Secret model and Brit girl Stella Maxwell on her bid for Hollywood. Beautiful imagery comes courtesy of artists such as Peter Philips and Serge Lutens, with shoots by respected photographers Cedric Buchet, Richard Burbridge and Daniel Jackson together with world-renowned fashion stylists Katie Grand and Lucy Ewing.

Jackie Annesley, editor of Style, said: “At 78 years young, Fonda is an icon for women around the world. She is a respected actress, campaigner and feminist and in our exclusive interview, she tells Tom Shone she’s ‘just beginning’. That is a powerful message to send out from our biggest ever edition.”

Dominic Carter, chief commercial officer of News UK, said: “Style’s September fashion special confirms the title’s unique position within the broader magazine landscape. It is one of the only titles able to reach an audience of wealthy, well-informed, fashion influencers in the UK market. Style brings readers the ultimate in fashion authority coupled with the immediacy of a weekly, offering brands the ideal environment in which to drive sales.”
