Superbike Magazine acquired by G10 Media

SuperBike, a magazine for sports bike fans, has been acquired by London-based G10 Media from Blaze Publishing.

G10 Media is owned and run by John Hogan, editor of SuperBike magazine, who has been with the title for five years, and nearly four of which have in the editor’s chair.

Commenting on the acquisition, John Hogan said: “I’m delighted to have been able to reach an agreement to enable my company to take on SuperBike magazine, and I will shortly be making public our plans for the future.

“Suffice to say, we have some big ideas in the digital arena, where we are the clear leader in the market, and I will be bringing the existing team of writers and reporters with me in my new venture. Our social media profile, with over 660,000 likes on Facebook, represents a substantial community, and we’ll be revealing plans to make full use of that in the very near future.”

Commenting on the sale by Blaze Publishing, managing director Wes Stanton said: “We’ve had great fun with SuperBike over the last 16 months, but the company has grown substantially in this time, and SuperBike is better suited to a specialist owner-manager publishing business that can be more flexible in its approach. I’m delighted that John has been able to acquire the title, as he’s been key to producing its excellent content while under our banner, and I wish him all the best for the future with his plans.”

Blaze Publishing’s last issue was the February 2015 edition, published in early January.
