Sutro Digital unveils Technode

Social content agency Sutro Digital has announced the launch of new quarterly technology based magazine Technode.

The first issue of Technode focuses on how gadgets will change our life in the next six months and looks at Augmented Reality, 4G mobile, 3D and how social media has changed public demonstrations.

The publication will be available across a number of platforms, giving readers complete flexibility as to how they access the content, say the publishers.

The magazine is available as an iPad magazine app and includes interactive features and video content. It will also be available from a number of sources including Magcloud and Sribd as a PDF download and can be bought as a print version via Magcloud.

Technode is available as a free download (unless readers choose the print version.)

“We have designed Technode to play to the strengths of the tablet/digital magazine format,” explains Sutro Digital's Ashley Norris. “It offers significantly longer, more analytical articles than the more newsy stories on our websites - Shiny Shiny and Tech Digest. The iPad version also includes a host of videos which work as complimentary footnotes to the main features.”

“I think tablets like the iPad offer a huge opportunity for indie publishers to reinvent the way they create and deliver content. This is just the start of a long and very interesting journey for us. We have plans for other titles and are working with brands whose customer magazines will launch in the coming months.”

“There are some very interesting opportunities for indie publishers in the magazine space,” says Norris. “The price of producing digital magazines has fallen dramatically over the past six months and I think small publishers have a real opportunity to create new media brands.”

Technode is available now via the iTunes app store or Magcloud.
