Telegraph is Media Partner for BT River Of Music

Telegraph Media Group, (TMG), has announced that it will be the media partner for BT River of Music, a flagship event in the London 2012 Festival.

BT River of Music is a free live music festival taking place on 21 and 22 July at six iconic sites along the Thames including Battersea Park, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London and Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich.

The event will represent all 205 participating Olympic and Paralympic nations and feature music from leading international artists to emerging stars as well as an array of special collaborations.

The partnership with TMG will include the publication of a supplement this July, which will include exclusive content and interviews and act as a guide for the event. This month, The Daily Telegraph’s Saturday Review magazine will also produce a BT River of Music preview.

Mark Skipworth, Executive Editor, TMG said: “We are delighted to be media partner for BT River of Music, an exceptional event which will showcase London to the world ahead of the London 2012 Games.  The supplement published by TMG will extend the reach of BT River of Music beyond the live audience to our readers across all of our print and digital platforms.  Using the full potential of our cultural portfolio we will be working with BT and the London 2012 Festival to produce a stand out guide for this event.”

Suzi Williams, director, BT Group Marketing & Brand said: “BT River of Music will welcome the world to London this summer and it is great to have TMG join the outstanding group of partners collaborating to make it a highlight of 2012. BT River of Music is more than a one off music event – it’s the accumulation of several years of collaborations from artists and performers from all kinds of different communities and geographies. Thanks to TMG we will be able to share their stories and involve the nation in this very unique project.”

Claire Whitaker, Director, Serious: "BT River of Music will showcase the world’s music in a weekend and feature spectacular performances from all 205 Olympic and Paralympic nations.  We are really excited to be working with the Telegraph, on a partnership that gives the opportunity to share the stories behind the event and take BT River of Music to an audience beyond the live experience.”
