Telegraph launches MPU mobile advertisement

Telegraph Media Group, (TMG), has created what it claims is the UK media’s first, above the fold, MPU advertisement for its mobile website.

The new ad format runs on all of The Telegraph’s mobile article pages and allows for high-impact channel take-overs or CPM campaigns.

Launch partners include The Malta Tourism Authority, Omega, Lloyds Banking Group and William Hill.

Lori Cunningham, Director, Digital Futures, TMG, said: “We are delighted that once again The Telegraph’s commercial team are responsible for a ground-breaking media first. The Telegraph continues to lead the way in terms of how advertisers might interact with our readers. This new mobile format will open up a wide number of opportunities for prospective advertisers, and we are thrilled that brands are already realising its potential.”

Alex Incorvaja, Director, UK & Ireland, Malta Tourism Authority, said: “Considering the incredible growth of unique visitor traffic originating from smart phones, mobile advertising is already reshaping the way businesses interact with their consumers. Malta Tourism is excited to have the opportunity of being able to advertise on The Telegraph’s newest mobile format. The ad-placement being above the fold is bound to generate a positive experience.”
