Telegraph Motoring relaunches as Telegraph Cars

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has announced that The Telegraph’s Motoring supplement will be rebranded ‘Cars’ on Saturday, 6th September.

The move to rebrand both the Saturday print section and the digital Motoring channel will unite TMG’s Motoring products and its new in-market Cars channel, which launched in March, and is designed to assist car buyers in their search for a new vehicle.

The change brings together all of TMG’s automotive products and the multimedia platforms on which they sit under one umbrella, and provides a clearer proposition to our audience and our clients, says TMG.

Steve Huntingford, Head of Cars, TMG, said: “Readers will still be able to find all of the Telegraph motoring content they love, including news, drive stories and features, and the views of expert columnists such as Erin Baker and Honest John. However, following the introduction of our consumer-focused car reviews site and new Facebook page, and with the launch of a Telegraph Cars YouTube channel imminent, we felt it was important to bring everything under one brand.”

Erin Baker, Managing Director, Cars, TMG, said: “TMG now has a huge portfolio of automotive products, from our traditional Saturday print section, to our fabulous new Facebook page, via our Cars channel and YouTube assets. Relaunching all our offerings under one name will give our readers and clients clarity, consistency and familiarity with the brand.”
