The Sun is launching a nation-wide competition in over 6,000 stores to build excitement and drive retail footfall ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Sun Celebration campaign is encouraging readers to visit their local retailer and take a selfie in front of The Sun branding with their best football goal-scoring celebration to win cash prizes.

The best selfie celebration, as judged by The Sun, will win £1,000 in cash each week for the duration of the World Cup from June 4. Customers simply need to upload the photo to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #suncelebration.

The Sun's CMO, Kate Bird, said: "The Sun is the home of football and our Sun Celebration campaign will build excitement around the World Cup across the country. Whether you're a 'dabber', a' knee slider' or a 'shirt swinger' we hope everyone gets in the Sun selfie spirit and that England players will be emulating some of our best Sun Celebrations (regularly) throughout the tournament."

The campaign will be championed across The Sun Sport and Dream Team social media accounts with the hashtag #suncelebration.
