The Times Scotland announces awards partnership

The Times Scotland has signed a three year media partnership with the Scottish Legal Awards.

The well-established awards are one of the highlights of the year for the Scottish legal profession.

The Times is renowned for its legal coverage including daily news reporting, weekly law pages, online law and its world famous law reports, say the publishers.

The Scottish Legal Awards celebrate the best performing lawyers, teams and firms in the Scottish legal market. They attract over 500 top lawyers to a black tie dinner which switches between Edinburgh and Glasgow each year.

The Times Scotland editor Magnus Llewellin said: “The Times Scotland goes from strength to strength as it expands its coverage of current affairs, business news and analysis. Coupled with our commitment to build on our excellent legal coverage, this makes us the ideal partner for The Scottish Legal Awards. I’m delighted to have been invited onto this year’s judging panel and look forward to working with the awards team.”

News Scotland General Manager Richard Bogie said: “Law is an important part of our offering. The Scottish Legal Awards is a great fit for The Times Scotland, as we continue to reach out to even more readers from the legal services sector.”

Kirsten Speirs, Director of KDMedia which operates the awards, added: “The Scottish Legal Awards is now the largest legal event in Scotland. We are looking forward to working with The Times to highlight the exceptional work of individuals, teams and firms at the forefront of Scottish law.”
