TrustedReviews unveils major relaunch

IPC Media’s www.trustedreviews.com has unveiled a major relaunch, broadening its appeal and accessibility and building on its position as the “ultimate source” of technology product reviews and informed, insightful news.

The relaunch follows a year of extensive consumer research and development, which has uncovered key insights into purchasers of technology products, and given TrustedReviews a deep understanding of how different consumers buy technology products, says IPC.

In response to this research, the new TrustedReviews caters for a broader consumer audience, still offering its extensive, indepth content but now with easier navigation, product summaries and direct comparison features to help buyers make the right purchasing choice.

Cliff Jones, editor of Trusted Reviews, says: “Consumer insight has been core to the development. Purchasers are becoming more and more discerning so we’ve used those findings to ensure the new site delivers a complete researching and buying experience. The site maintains its comprehensiveness, independence and authority – which perform a hugely important part in researching and buying new products – whilst introducing a range of new features, enabling its audience to be better equipped with the information they value most when making purchasing decisions.

User experience on the new site is based on four key strands: advising, filtering, validating and purchasing. Features include:

• A new design throughout with improved, easy navigation

• A product and reviews database including thousands of unbiased in-depth expert reviews alongside user reviews

• 18-20 videos created each month, complementing the website’s authoritative written product reviews and offering increased opportunities to advertisers

• A powerful faceted search, making it easy for buyers to find the product that matches their needs

• Full side-by-side comparison and specs across major categories including Cameras, TV & Entertainment, Laptops and Computing & Mobile. 

• Informative reviews bolstered by user and expert scores, helping buyers to confirm their choice once they have made their decision

The relaunch will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign including online, print email, and social media.
