Unity Media acquires Building Products magazine

Unity Media, publisher of Roofing Cladding and Insulation magazine and organiser of the RCI Show, has acquired the trade publication Building Products from Metropolis Business Media.

Building Products magazine, which ceased publishing in February this year, is to be relaunched by Unity Media in July.

Unity Media plans to make Building Products a key publication in its portfolio of titles, complementing its already well-established trade titles, plus providing a platform to help enhance the visitor profile for the RCI Show.

Event director Tony Brown explained: "Building Products magazine has been on the company's radar for many years as it's such a strong and well-respected title. As publishers of a number of leading niche magazines, Building Products fits very nicely within our portfolio of building publications as it covers a cross section of industries.

"This is a real coup for the RCI Show in particular, as now the show is established in the market our main focus with the RCI Show 2017 is to enhance visitor numbers and Building Products, which offers a 20,000 circulation including key specifiers, influencers and decision-makers, will help us do this. We are able to target this readership over the next 16 months and let them know about the many benefits the RCI Show can offer them as visitors.

"In addition to the magazine distribution, Building Products boasts a digital readership of over 30,000 individuals. As such, this will again be another great platform for us to target potential visitors and enable us to reach the right kind of decision-makers ensuring footfall increases for the RCI Show 2017."
