Update from Two Sides

Two Sides, the UK initiative to promote the responsible production and use of print and paper and encourage its use, has announced that its membership is now over two hundred and that its drive to reach and educate media buyers continues with the issue of its third direct mailer.

Due to hit the desks of 21,000 media specifiers and influencers around the UK over the next couple of weeks including agencies and designers, corporates, retailers, government, journalists, politicians and publishers, this latest pack of six postcards has been illustrated by London-based freelance illustrator, Matthew Hams. His distinctive and deceptively simple designs have been printed on Mohawk Superfine Ultra White Smooth 270gsm and 352gsm, which was donated by Mohawk.  Mohawk Superfine is FSC certified and produced using sustainable energy sources.

“The new direct mail postcard pack looks great and we are confident that we are getting our key message that paper and print is a powerful and environmentally responsible medium across to our audience,” says Martyn Eustace (pictured), Two Sides Director. “The growing number of members, including over sixty printing organisations that have a strategic focus on sustainability, is testimony that we are reaching all the stakeholders in the graphic communication value chain.

“2010 will see us continue our efforts to raise the profile of Print Media, recruit more members and correct many common misperceptions about the production and use of print and paper. We will have a stand at IPEX (Hall 11, F230/2) and will soon be publishing a ‘Myths and Facts’ booklet which can be used as a sales aid by our members.”
