Vogue Poland to launch in 2018

Vogue will be launched in Poland in 2018, it was announced yesterday by Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman and Chief Executive of Condé Nast International.

The Polish edition of Vogue will debut digitally and in print in the first half of next year. This new edition of Vogue, the twenty-third, will be published under a license agreement with Visteria.

“Poland is a thriving market in Eastern Europe, with a growing hunger for luxury. It’s a natural for Vogue,” said Newhouse.

Filip Niedenthal has been appointed launch Editor-in-Chief. Niedenthal is experienced in the Polish publishing world; he was most recently launch Editor of Esquire Poland, after a successful career as Executive Fashion Editor at Harper’s Bazaar Polska, Editor-in-Chief of travel magazine Podróze, in addition to key editorial roles in leading Polish titles Twój Styl and Viva.

Working with Niedenthal will be Polish model and actress Malgosia Bela, who is appointed Editor-at-Large. A respected name in international fashion circles and now based in Warsaw, Bela has herself featured on several Vogue covers, and brings a unique perspective and experience as a fashion insider, having worked with the industry's top editors, photographers, designers, and stylists, says Condé Nast International.

Over the coming months, Vogue Poland will be announcing further new appointments as it builds its team.

“It’s clear there is a strong demand for a magazine that inspires and empowers Polish women, as well as promoting Polish talent internationally - not only in fashion, but in the arts, film, culture and other fields,” remarked Kasia Kulczyk, Chairperson and Founder of Visteria. “I am extremely proud to have been given this opportunity to bring Vogue to Poland. Always keeping in mind the needs and expectations of our ambitious, career-driven readers, we will offer inspiring content with a reach unparalleled by any other Polish medium.”

Karina Dobrotvorskaya, President of Condé Nast New Markets and Editorial Director, Brand Development, added “We’re pleased to partner with Kasia Kulczyk. Intelligent, knowledgeable and passionate, she is determined to change the country’s fashion and cultural landscape with this launch. We strongly believe in the vision and enthusiasm of the new Vogue team, bringing together Poland’s creativity and appetite for luxury.”

Vogue Poland will be the twenty-third edition of the magazine worldwide. Vogue is published in the United States, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Japan, China, Taiwan, Mexico & Latin America, Korea, Brazil, Australia, Portugal, India, Turkey, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Ukraine and the Middle East.
