Nick Merritt: “Which? has been the UK’s consumer champion for more than 60 years.”

As the cost of living crisis continues to bite, managing money is more important than ever to UK consumers, and Which? has seen many households in need of advice on how to save money, as well as staying alert when it comes to scams and knowing their consumer rights, says Which?.

Nick joins Which? from Uswitch, where he headed up the finance, energy and comms content teams, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience of delivering expert and useful content. Prior to this, Nick held senior editorial positions at a range of leading UK publishers in print and digital.

In addition to further developing Which?’s free cost of living help and consumer rights advice, Nick will be leading the Which? content teams to deliver a variety of highly relevant and compelling money and travel reviews, investigations and advice for which.co.uk, Which? Travel and Which? Money Magazines, as well as the Which? Money Podcast.

He will also be responsible for further development of the content strategy, with a focus on driving relevancy at a time when consumers' needs and content consumption habits are changing rapidly.

Jenni Allen, Which? Content Director, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Nick to Which? and we’re excited to combine his long history of creating and managing consumer content with the trusted Which? advice consumers have come to rely on.

“We have a shared goal of empowering consumers through advice that is current and relevant, especially during a drastically changing situation for UK households as they face the toughest pressure on their household budgets in many years.”

Nick Merritt, incoming Head of Content at Which?, added: “Which? has been the UK’s consumer champion for more than 60 years and continues to give a voice to the public when it comes to consumer-related issues.

“With many households currently being confronted with various challenges including the cost of living crisis and the energy crisis among others, it is a great time to be joining Which? to help our audience address these challenges.”
