WoodWing announces lineup for Xperience 2014

Under the theme "Publishers become brands, and brands become publishers,” the WoodWing Xperience 2014 will take place in Lisbon on June 17-18.

The Xperience is WoodWing´s biennial event for publishing and marketing professionals, interested in multi-channel publishing, content marketing and digital asset management.

The two-day program covers renowned keynote speakers, including Mr. Magazine, Samir Husni, and Mashable CTO Robyn Peterson, followed by three parallel breakout sessions in the afternoon. Attendees will gather from all over the world to get on track with industry trends as well as the latest in technology, helping them to master the challenges publishers and marketers are facing.

When it comes to the further development of their business models and communication strategies, says WoodWing, publishers and brands alike are facing major challenges. Publishers must find new ways to monetize their content, to increase efficiency and to create new business opportunities. Brands need to implement strategies to reach their target audiences via a variety of channels corresponding to the point of contact. Both publishers and brands also have the need to manage their fast-growing file collections in the context of their publishing and communications activities.

“These are challenging times for publishers and marketers,” said Roel-Jan Mouw, CEO of WoodWing Software. “With the Xperience, we aim to support them to make the right decisions and to help them avoid common pitfalls. Attendees will gain insights into what works and what doesn't, and learn about the best business practices for their industry. At the same time, it’s an unparalleled opportunity to meet peers and exchange experiences.”

In addition to WoodWing CEO Roel-Jan Mouw, well-known industry thought leaders will give keynotes. Mashable CTO Robyn Peterson will speak about "The Next Evolution of Publishing – How to Make Money with Digital.” Mashable, with 34 million monthly unique visitors and 14 million social media followers, has become one of the most engaged digital networks in the world.

Samir Husni, Mr. Magazine, will explain, why it´s important to “free yourself from the platform, and to experience your audience outside the cocoon.” Dr. Husni, dubbed by The Chicago Tribune as “the planet’s leading expert on new magazines,” engages in media consulting and research for the magazine and publishing industries.

In a wide range of breakout sessions, representatives of WoodWing customers will share their expertise and best practices. A selection of the program:

* The Danish communications agency Datagraf will explain how its team benefits from the combined environment of Woodwing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise and digital asset management solution Elvis DAM, and how its customers are closely involved in the workflow.
