This category is exclusively nominated by independent newspaper & magazine retailers and is sponsored by The National Federation of Retail Newsagents and was won this year by Panini for their Official FIFA 2014 World Cup Sticker Collection.
To encourage busy independent news and magazine retailers to submit their nomination ACE offered the chance to win an Apple iPad Mini2 via a free draw. The draw was made by ACE Chairman Tom Rodger on the night and the winning retailer was Peter Wagg of News on the Wharf.
ACE Chairman Tom Rodger met with Peter on Thursday 7th May at his Jubilee Place store in Canary Wharf to present the iPad to Peter.
Peter commented that his wife would be very pleased as he intended the iPad for her; he also emphasised how effective the campaign by Panini had been in supporting independent retailers. Peter’s support for the Newspaper & Magazine category was clearly evident with exceptionally well merchandised, comprehensive magazine and newspaper displays, says ACE.
