Archant launches new Pet Content Strand

Archant has announced the launch of Love Your Pet, a new content strand to run across its full portfolio of over 130 brands.

A fully multiplatform content offering across print, digital and television, Love Your Pet will put pets centre stage, engaging the millions of pet owners and families across the UK with entertaining and informative content, says Archant.

It will cover all manner of pet-related subjects, such as care, training and advice, how to make the most of life with your pet, how to travel with your pet, pet gifts and celebrities and their pets. It will also encourage audience interaction, asking pet owners to send in pictures and videos of their favourite pets.

The new content is available for sponsorship and there are also opportunities available for local companies to be involved – from local vets, dog trainers, re-homing charities to pet accessories. Commercial opportunities include content marketing features, written by Archant’s journalists and pet experts, multi-platform advertising across print features, supplements and digital, as well as video content, bringing the content to life via Archant-owned Mustard TV and YouTube.

Craig Nayman, Chief Commercial Officer, Archant, said: “This subject has always been hugely popular with our active and affluent family audiences. We know that half of the UK own at least one pet, and this, combined with the value of the UK pet industry currently standing at £2.7 billion per year, makes Love Your Pet a really exciting new launch for us. It is another proof point of our commitment to engaging communities by consistently producing content of the highest quality. It offers brands an outstanding opportunity to reach 9.96 million consumers across the UK, aligning with one of the country’s most loved subjects across a variety of channels and brands.”

Love Your Pet launches the first week of December. From January, additional supplements will run biweekly across Archant’s newspaper titles and monthly across the magazine portfolio.
