Brand Republic unveils new brand identity

Brand Republic, Haymarket’s marcoms brand, yesterday unveiled a new brand identity, including a relaunched website as it continues to build community engagement across its digital and live platforms.

The new brand identity follows months of audience research and includes a new logo, brand mantra (“The Smart Filter”) and full redesign of www.brandrepublic.com with new content features exclusive to Brand Republic.

The new brand mantra reinforces Brand Republic’s position as the leading authority on brand marketing and its commitment to delivering an expert curation of information that matters, says Haymarket. In response to audience feedback, the brand is also launching the new “18:05 digest,” a daily news bulletin curating the five things Brand Republic’s audiences “need to know” at the end of the day.

The brand’s website www.brandrepublic.com, which, according to the publishers, attracts 200,000 marcomms professionals each month, has been redesigned and is now fully responsive. The site will continue to collate the best news from Campaign, Marketing and Media Week, and will also incorporate new features exclusive to Brand Republic.

New features include:

* A “convergence” channel, dedicated to exploring the merging state of marketing and communications. The channel is designed to be a hub of conversation, opinion and debate led by Brand Republic and a specially appointed panel of industry thought leaders.

* Inspiring careers content targeted at new talent including articles and insight on work placements, internships, training and advice on building personal networks.

* A stronger focus on technology coverage, including ad tech, start-ups, connected brands and wearable tech.

* Full integration of Brand Republic Insight sees users benefit from easier access to the site’s premium content, including expert reports, webinars and surveys.

* Integration of sister blog, The Wall, focusing on digital trends with more than 1,000 contributors that form the hub of Brand Republic’s community

Rachel Bull, editor of Brand Republic, said: “I’m so proud to be re-launching Brand Republic today. The new Brand Republic aims to reflect the creativity, agility and innovation that define the UK marcoms sector. A lot of hard graft, research and testing has gone into making the new site.

“And this is only the beginning. With our new site we aim to harness the Brand Republic community and provide more and better ways for our audiences to engage with our content, our brand and each other. To do this we will be continuing to launch new content and technical features on the site throughout 2015.”
