BSME 2020 Talent Awards – shortlist announced

The shortlist for the 2020 British Society of Magazine Editors Talent Awards has been announced.

BSME 2020 Talent Awards – shortlist announced

The BSME Talent Awards recognise the best writers, designers, sub-editors, production teams and support staff in the UK magazine sector.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday 24 June at a special online announcement. As well as individual awards, there are prizes for the magazine with the best scoops, innovations and campaigns of 2019.

The BSME Talent Awards runs every summer for departmental heads, deputies and wider editorial team members, complementing the main annual BSME Awards for editors. Winners will receive a trophy, certificate and kudos for being at the top of their game, say the organisers.

BSME Chair Maria Pieri said: “Anyone who's worked on magazines knows that editorial success is a team effort – our Talent Awards are designed to recognise those who put in the graft behind the scenes, from writers to designers, production specialists to office managers and editorial assistants. The standard of entries this year proves the UK has a vibrant magazine sector, fizzing with ideas and brilliant storytelling.”
