Condé Nast Traveller has announced the launch of their future of travel talent competition, designed to discover and spotlight the next generation of travel writers.

Condé Nast Traveller, has launched a talent competition in the search for aspiring travel writers. The global travel brand says it is looking for passionate and diverse voices to help drive important conversations around the future of travel.

The publisher says the winning story will be published on Condé Nast Traveller UK’s website, and the writer will receive a four-week paid internship and six months of mentorship by Condé Nast Traveller’s global editorial team. Entries will be shortlisted by Condé Nast Traveller editors and the final selection will chosen by the judging panel, which includes:

  • Sophie Morgan, TV presenter, producer, artist and disability advocate
  • Tom Parker Bowles, food writer and critic
  • Divia Thani, global editorial director, Condé Nast Traveller
  • Vanessa Kingori OBE, chief business officer, Condé Nast Britain and Vogue European business advisor
  • Tharik Hussain, author of Minarets in the Mountains
  • Clover Stroud, writer and journalist
  • Anita Bhagwandas, beauty director of Condé Nast Traveller and author
  • Meera Dattani, travel writer and culture journalist
  • Holly Rubenstein, host of The Travel Diaries podcast and travel journalist
  • Caleb Azumah Nelson, author of Open Water

Condé Nast Traveller’s Travel Competition is now open to UK residents, with participation from underrepresented groups strongly encouraged, commented the publisher. Entrants must submit their work by Friday 12th May and the winner will be notified on Friday 30th June, 2023.
