Denmaur Launches New Amadeus Branding and Swatch

Supporting the new identity, Denmaur has produced vibrant new gate-fold covered swatches for both its Amadeus and Amadeus Digital grades, each containing technical and environmental specifications, as well as examples of printed reproductions on the brilliant white, triple coated paper.

Amadeus Gloss and Silk are produced at Burgo’s modern and environmentally acclaimed Ardennes mill in Belgium - the nearest coated woodfree producer to the UK, says Denmaur. Using pulp from locally sourced sustainable forestry, the integrated mill produces 365,000 tonnes of coated woodfree paper annually, with Denmaur one of the main UK stockists.

Both Amadeus and Amadeus Digital are FSC certified and are offered by Denmaur with the option to Carbon Balance – the REDD+ offsetting scheme offered by the World Land Trust. The digital version is also certified for HP Indigo printing.

Burgo UK Sales Director, Paul Bussingham said: “The proximity of Ardennes Mill to the UK means that we are able to provide a tremendous bespoke and back up service, through the availability of cutter reels and mill stocks, to support Denmaur’s substantial Amadeus stockholding in the UK.”

Denmaur’s Managing Director, Nick Gee, stated: “Amadeus and Denmaur are almost tied in their history of growth and success. The new swatches underline our continuing commitment and investment in this product and our partnership with Burgo.” Continuing, Mr. Gee stated, “We are proud to have played a major role developing this product, adapting it in an ever changing market, providing sheets, web offset reels, CutStar reels and small format sheets for digital production.”

Divisional Director, Andy Buxton, emphasised some of the positive attributes of the Amadeus grade. “Apart from being a particularly quick-drying sheet, it’s flexibility in terms of finishing and great ink-lift, helps to bring out the very best in modern multi-colour printing across a number of machines and technologies. A true all-rounder.”
