Dennis launches new event division

Dennis Publishing, publishers of The Week, Men’s Fitness and Auto Express, has announced the launch of its new event division, Dennis Events.

The new department will focus on extending the reach of existing events run by Dennis Publishing as well as developing new business in the future.

Newly appointed Events Director, Jay Tyson, will be heading-up the Dennis Events team. Tyson brings a wealth of experience to the role, having launched The London Golf Show in 2005, and has run events teams at both Reed Exhibitions and Euromoney Conferences.

Jay Tyson, Events Director, Dennis Publishing, explained: “This is a very exciting time for Dennis Publishing. Our titles have a huge following and are established and trusted brands. We have put together a talented group of people who are dedicated to setting-up bespoke events that respond to the consumer needs of the moment.”

James Tye (pictured), CEO of Dennis Publishing, said: “As our brands continue to extend their reach in print and online, we see events as a key part of the business moving forward. We have already seen significant success with our consumer events for Men’s Fitness and Bizarre and we intend to extend this success to other Dennis brands in the portfolio, including online only brands such itpro.co.uk, knowyourmobile.com and denofgeek.com.”

The first event run by the new team will be the ever-popular Bizarre Ball, with the summer’s schedule including Auto Express, Mac User and PC Pro Awards and the recently acquired LandRover Max show.
