Empire reveals nine X-Men: Apocalypse front covers

Bauer Media’s Empire magazine has revealed nine exclusive X-Men: Apocalypse covers for the May issue on sale last week.

The nine collectable covers celebrate the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie which is set to hit UK cinemas on May 18. Each cover features a different character and can be fitted together to produce one giant poster image, says Bauer Media. The characters available to collect are: Storm Archangel, Magneto, Apocalypse, Professor X, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Beast Cyclops, Moira MacTaggert and Psylocke, and Mystique Quicksilver.

The special covers will be on sale from March 31.

Terri White, Editor-In-Chief, Empire, commented: "Empire's ambition in print remains unrivalled – on the back of our recent ABC increase and epic 3D Star Wars issue – with nine separate newsstand covers heralding the latest X-Men instalment, X-Men: Apocalypse. This franchise is just massive for our audience of passionate film lovers and we fully expect devoted fans to be hitting the streets to find all nine, which when you slot together, make one super-sized image created in collaboration with our partners at Twentieth Century Fox."

Chris Green, Marketing Director, Twentieth Century Fox, commented: “After the great success of our activity with Empire on X-Men: Days of Future Past it is fantastic to be able to follow on with this partnership on X-Men: Apocalypse. As one of our key summer blockbusters, the X-Men covers and supporting activity really show off the scale and ambition of the movie. As the leading movie magazine, Empire makes the perfect partner to excite and engage fans both here in the UK and around world.”
