Ex-Stuff editorial supremo to lead Haymarket’s native content agency

Haymarket Consumer Media will welcome back Will Findlater as the Editor-in-Chief of its Creative Solutions branded content team.

Will brings a wealth of editorial skill to the new role, having led one of Haymarket’s best-known brands, Stuff, for five years. In his time as the Brand’s Editor-in-Chief, Will led triple digit growth in Stuff online, launched the brand’s digital edition, and redesigned the magazine from the ground up, says Haymarket.

Will was also a critical driving force behind two of Creative Solutions’ most high profile campaigns in 2014/15, for LG and Samsung.

According to Rachael Prasher, Haymarket Automotive’s Brand Director, Will’s background brings a powerful, broad understanding of specialist consumer media, especially in the men’s market.

“Will has an instinctive grip of what makes specialist audiences tick,” says Prasher. “He'll help our clients tell really engaging stories to our audiences of almost 20m unique users across automotive, technology and sport.”

Findlater’s appointment capitalises on a year of investment and continued success for Haymarket’s award-winning Creative Solutions team, says the company. In the past 12 months, the team has added nine new members, grown business by 59%, and renewed the LG partnership for the third year running. This week, Haymarket Creative Solutions took the award for Commercial Team of the Year at the PPA Digital Awards 2015.

The agency have also secured deals with Huawei, Intel, Dali, Dynaudio and Philips, whilst on the motoring side have landed lucrative deals with Audi, Ford, Honda, Skoda and Ssangyong.

“I’m thrilled to be rejoining Haymarket,” says Findlater. “This role provides a great way for me to turn my skills to helping some of the world’s best-known brands, and to work closely with the most talented editorial and commercial teams in specialist media.”

Findlater left Haymarket to become Global Editor-in-Chief of BikeRadar.com, but has returned to take up this opportunity. He will begin his role in January 2016.
