David Cowan: “Alex’s appointment adds an exciting new dimension to the Forum.”

Alex, who has spent the past three years as the edelivery and Europe editor of InternetRetailing, joined the business on 8 March.

As a membership community focused exclusively on financial services marketing, the Forum recognises there is an opportunity to share the expertise, knowledge and voices of the sector.

The appointment of an editor will enable the Forum to publish news, analysis, interviews and research, helping them to do their jobs better and build their careers.

David Cowan, managing director of the Forum said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Sword as the first editor of the Financial Services Forum.

“Alex’s appointment adds an exciting new dimension to the Forum, allowing greater scope to explore and develop the key subject areas that are challenging financial marketers.

“At a time of great change, this appointment demonstrates our continued commitment to raising the standards of financial services marketing for the benefit of our members and the general financial services community.”

During his tenure at InternetRetailing, Sword specialised in creating high-value content for a fast-changing industry, as well as representing the brand at face-to-face events and on video.

In his newly-created position at the Forum, Sword will work closely with David Cowan and group editorial director Adrian Barrick, in addition to building strong relationships with the members themselves, says Incisive Media.
