Four strategic hires for Last Word

Last Word has announced four senior hires joining the business on 4 September - Patrick Ponsford, Inga Hohberga, Richard Simpson and Will Fearnley-Whittingstall.

The first is Patrick Ponsford from Strategic Insight, owners of the Financial Clarity Platform. Coming with Patrick is the Financial Clarity media and content marketing franchise.

This gives Last Word better insight in to the buying habits of Advisers at sector level and the ability to better communicate with them. He is joined by Inga Hohberga as Campaign Manager.

The other two strategic hires are Richard Simpson and Will Fearnley-Whittingstall. Richard joins as Head of International. Recently relocating from Hong Kong to move back to his native Paris. He joins Last Word’s sales team from Citywire, where he developed and grew their international digital business in London. He then moved to Hong Kong to be their man on the ground across all of their products in Asia. His new responsibilities will be to oversee Last Word’s French and Swiss clients across the whole business (he is fluent in French and Spanish) and will also lead the charge in Last Word’s growing regions of the Middle East and South Africa.

Will joins as Head of Digital and Publishing. His new role will be to manage the newly created digital and publishing team that already comprises of Frank Reed, Natasha Scroggs, Ben Elliott and Kimberley Sidu. He comes with lots of experience with both clients and agencies alike and has a deep understanding of the asset management industry, says the company.

Both Richard and Will will report into Last Word’s Commercial director, Elliot Jacobs.
