Glamour UK has announced the return of its celebration of the most powerful, inspirational and trailblazing female forces, the Women of the Year Awards.

Following a five year hiatus, Women of the Year is returning to an in-person event at Outernet London on Tuesday 8th November, says the publisher, welcoming a guest list of honorees, presenters and guests for an evening of dinner and drinks. Past winners have included Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham.

Glamour says they have welcomed Samsung as the event’s headline partner, Peroni Nastro Azzurro as its drinks partner and UOMA Beauty as after party sponsor.

The publisher continued, since 2001 Glamour UK has captured the zeitgeist, creating cultural conversations and agenda-setting moments for and about women. For 2022 the Women of The Year Awards will honour women who have broken down barriers and incited change throughout their careers.

Women of the Year celebrations will be taking place around the world through November, the publisher added. Glamour US will host its 32nd annual culture-defining event on 1st November and Glamour Mexico will host its inaugural event on 10th November, honouring women around the globe who are breaking barriers with their achievements.

Deborah Joseph, European editorial director at Glamour said: “Shining a spotlight on women who are game-changing in their field and challenging the status quo, our Glamour Women of the Year event is back, celebrating feminism in all forms and corners of the globe. Celebrating women who make incredible differences is one of the best parts of leading Glamour in Europe, so I’m excited for Women of the Year to put this centre stage.”

Annika Bizon, marketing director Samsung UK said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Glamour for the Women of the Year awards. Samsung is passionate about championing women, in particular those breaking barriers to have an impact on the next generation. We’re excited for the event to return and to celebrate the achievements of these amazing women”.

The Women of the Year Awards will also be commemorated with special digital covers, says the publisher, which will be photographed on the night and released the following day.
