Grazia appoints Jane McFarland

Jane McFarland has been appointed Associate Editor (Fashion, Luxury & Beauty) of Grazia magazine.

Grazia appoints Jane McFarland
Jane McFarland: “I’m looking forward to developing relationships with both our existing and new commercial partners.”

Jane joins the team from The Sunday Times Style magazine, where she was Fashion Director. She has previously worked at MATCHESFASHION and Net-a-Porter and written for various titles including The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Times and The Evening Standard.

In her new role, Jane will work with Grazia’s fashion and beauty teams to continue the growth the brand has seen across its print, digital and social platforms over the past year, say the publishers.

Emma Rowley is promoted from Assistant Editor to Deputy Editor, replacing Kenya Hunt who leaves Grazia on 11 February 2022. Emma will continue to head up the features team across print and digital, whilst stepping up to work strategically with Hattie Brett on the Grazia brand development in 2022.

Commenting on the appointment, Grazia editor Hattie Brett said: “I’m delighted Jane is joining the Grazia team at a really exciting time for the brand. With her strong experience across print, digital and social, she’s perfectly placed to continue our growth in all areas of fashion and beauty – without sacrificing the strong storytelling and visual impact that compelling content demands today. I look forward to working with her and Emma in her new role.”

Jane added: “As a long-time reader of this much-loved magazine, I’m thrilled to join Grazia and Bauer as the publishing industry enters an exciting new era. I’m looking forward to developing relationships with both our existing and new commercial partners, while establishing the magazine’s authority as the go-to destination for all things fashion and beauty.”

Jane will take up the position on 21 February.

Emma will start her Deputy Editor position on 26 February.
