Haymarket Network relaunches Make Solar Sense

Haymarket Network, Haymarket’s content marketing agency, has relaunched Make Solar Sense magazine as “Smarter Living” to widen its remit.

The magazine now has a broader appeal and includes news, tips and insights into the solar, energy storage, smart-home technology and electric vehicle markets.

Editor Steph Wilkinson, says: "After the government’s cuts to solar subsidies, we had to completely rebrand the magazine and change our message. It’s no longer primarily about making money, but living in a smarter way. Solar power, plus home energy storage, plus owning an electric vehicle, allows you to take control of your electricity supply and fuel costs for years to come, while helping to save the planet.

"New smart technology, from thermostats to smart bulbs, also plays a huge part in making modern homes more energy and cost efficient, while the electric vehicle market is set to explode – research suggests around 10% of cars on the road will be electric by 2020. It’s these new, exciting markets we wanted to tap into and link with the benefits of solar power."

Smarter Living features inspiring case studies of real solar homes, including some of the first home battery owners in the UK, and profiles enthusiastic electric-vehicle drivers, all motivated by one mission – to lead a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, while saving money at the same time, says Haymarket Network.

The magazine is published jointly between Haymarket and the British Photovoltaic Association and will be on the newsstand in June.
