Imagine celebrates 100th edition of iCreate

After eight years, the 100th issue of iCreate hits the UK newsstand last week.

The special issue comes inside a high-quality slipcase and includes a limited-edition centenary DVD, packed with special content.

The special DVD features an interactive Apple history timeline as reported in the pages of iCreate, along with over 1,000 pages of creative tutorials, and £100 worth of free software. Readers will also get issues 1-5 of the magazine free to read in digital format and be able to access a library of every iCreate cover ever published.

“We’re proud that iCreate has reached this important milestone,” commented Editor In Chief Dave Harfield. “With a strong and dedicated following in the UK and USA, along with numerous licensed editions, iCreate is a brand that’s well known and respected around the world for its creative and inspirational approach to Apple software and hardware.”

Editor Jimmy Hayes added: “‘If Apple made a magazine…’ has always been the unofficial motto for iCreate and it’s the adherence to these high standards that have made the magazine so successful in the last eight years. It’s great to celebrate with a special edition and we aim to continue providing readers with inspirational instruction in using Apple computers and technology for another 100 issues – at least!”

Group Creative Director Mark Kendrick, who was instrumental in the launch of the magazine, said: “iCreate was born from a desire to create a magazine that celebrated the Apple brand and clearly showed Mac owners how to use iLife and OSX software creatively. We wanted a magazine that looked as if Apple had made it and iCreate was the name that seemed to stick. One hundred issues later and the rest is history.”

iCreate was originally launched in 2003 by Paragon Publishing, and the title was subsequently acquired by Imagine Publishing in 2006. Since then, the iCreate brand has expanded into a website, mobile app, DVD range and a series of bookazines.
