Immediate appoints new CRO

Immediate Media Co has announced the appointment of Julian Lloyd Evans to lead its UK advertising teams in the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Immediate appoints new CRO
Julian Lloyd Evans: “I’m genuinely excited to be joining Immediate, one of the UK’s most ambitious and best performing UK media businesses.”

Lloyd Evans, who will take-up the role in April 2022, replaces Duncan Tickell, recently promoted to CRO of BurdaInternational, the global arm of Hubert Burda Media, operating in 17 countries outside Germany.

Lloyd Evans will work with Tickell to accelerate digital revenue growth at Immediate, the largest business within BurdaInternational, and will report to Immediate’s Platforms CEO Sean Cornwell.

Julian joins Immediate from Dennis Publishing following a very successful career spanning over two decades, culminating in the sale of that business to Future Plc for £300m in 2021. Julian chairs the Board of The Big Issue’s Media Division, Advertising Week’s Advisory Council and was shortlisted for Campaign’s 2021 Media Leader of the Year.

Sean Cornwell, Immediate’s Platforms CEO, says: “I’m thrilled to have secured someone of Julian’s calibre to help drive the next phase of Immediate’s digital revenue growth. His track record of developing new revenue streams and high performing teams is perfectly aligned to Immediate’s ambition to build on the record results we delivered in 2021.”

Julian Lloyd Evans adds: “I’m genuinely excited to be joining Immediate, one of the UK’s most ambitious and best performing UK media businesses in recent years. Their growth plans combined with a great culture, validated by seeing them listed in the top Five best places to work in the UK, was an opportunity too good to refuse. I can’t wait to join Sean and Duncan and help write the next chapter of Immediate’s growth story.”
