Immediate wins English Heritage Contract

Immediate Media Co, the special interest content and platform company, has won a three year contract to provide membership communications for English Heritage, who are responsible for the care of over 400 of England’s important buildings.

Included within the organisation’s care is the world-famous prehistoric monument of Stonehenge, imposing Dover Castle and the magnificent Roman forts along Hadrian’s Wall. With over 10 million visitors each year and an active membership over 900,000, the heritage charity aims to bring the rich history of England’s story to life for people to experience across the country.

The partnership includes print and digital membership magazines, as well as a children’s magazine and Events Guide. Immediate will also be creating a raft of video content for English Heritage, as well as providing advertising sales services.

The latest win for Immediate comes hot on the heels of a raft of membership communications new business – from brands including Plymouth University, Crafter’s Companion and Morrisons – in the last six months.

Immediate’s Branded Content Director Julie Williams says: “English Heritage has a reputation for the important work it does to care for England’s historic sites and for bringing their stories to life for visitors. It’s great that they recognised our track record in providing innovative and engaging membership communications solutions for national brands like the RSPB, The Scout Association and Royal Opera House.

“Immediate is home to the UK’s number one history magazine brands in BBC History and History Revealed, and our position as a market leading magazine media business in the Youth & Children sector means we believe we’re the perfect partner to add value to the English Heritage mission to create inspirational experiences for its members.”

Johanna Lovesey, Head of Membership at English Heritage, says: “We felt that Immediate were a really good fit for what we want our membership communications to do – really inspire and engage our members in our work, which is even more vital now we are a charity. We look forward to working with Immediate and benefitting from their considerable experience.”

Alfie Lewis, Immediate’s Publishing Director of Contract & Branded Content, adds: “Immediate’s consumer brands reach over 18 million affluent and engaged special interest consumers in the UK every month. We provide them with content they trust to inspire them, across whatever platform they need – from mobile to print, video to events.”
