Kate Reardon joins The Times as Editor-in-Chief of LUXX

The Times this week announced that Kate Reardon, former editor of Tatler, has been appointed editor-in-chief of LUXX, The Times’s glossy magazine.

Kate Reardon joins The Times as Editor-in-Chief of LUXX

Reardon takes over from Jeremy Langmead, who continues as editor-at-large alongside his role at Mr Porter, having led a successful relaunch of LUXX in 2016.

According to The Times, LUXX is an aspirational and entertaining look at the good things in life. It’s about intelligent luxury: craftsmanship, good design, purpose, giving, and giving back.

Emma Tucker, Deputy Editor of The Times, said: "Kate Reardon is one of the most talented and respected luxury magazine editors in the business. She will bring her wealth of knowledge and experience from many years at Conde Nast to the LUXX brand and to our expanding affluent, metropolitan readership.”

Kate Reardon said: “I am thrilled to be joining LUXX and the exceptional team at The Times. Jeremy Langmead has created the most wonderful magazine and I’m delighted to be following in his esteemed footsteps.”

Dominic Carter, Chief Commercial Officer, News UK, said: "LUXX has, since its relaunch in December 2016, delighted readers and the luxury advertising market - so much so we’re publishing an additional issue this year. It continues to offer advertisers a unique opportunity to reach our engaged, affluent audience and this, combined with Kate's appointment as Editor and Jeremy's move to an Editor-at-Large role, demonstrates our commitment to continuously evolve this luxury proposition."

The next edition of LUXX is published this Saturday (10 March) in The Times. The 2018 schedule is: 19 May, 8 September, 3 November (additional issue), 1 December.
