Mark Allen: “It is a chance for Mark Allen to put something back into society and support two extraordinarily vital charities.”

In line with the priorities expressed by employees, Mark Allen Foundation will support YoungMinds and Stop The Traffik in their amazing work improving quality of life for young people in the UK and internationally.

“I’m totally behind the Foundation,” said Mark Allen, founder and chairman of Mark Allen Group. “It is a chance for Mark Allen to put something back into society and support two extraordinarily vital charities. We must never lose sight of the fact that our company receives enormous backing from the communities in which we are based and we must do our utmost to ensure that this support is reciprocated.”

Mark Allen Foundation is managed by a dedicated committee of staff from across the business, who volunteer their time and skills to raise funds for two inspiring charities.

YoungMinds is a leading UK-based charity campaigning for children and young people’s mental health. Turning real-life experiences into positive change, it is leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported through life, whatever the challenges.

“We are incredibly grateful and excited to begin our relationship with Mark Allen Foundation,” said Vanessa Longley, director of development at YoungMinds. “Their ongoing focus will support YoungMinds to make a significant difference to the lives of young people and their families, having a positive influence on the future of children and young people’s mental health at a truly crucial time.”

Founded in 2005, Stop The Traffik offers a unique, intelligence-led approach developed to systemically disrupt human trafficking. This is done through changing the environment in which traffickers operate, making it higher risk and lower profit to criminal networks by addressing the following areas: reducing recruitment through geo-targeted media campaigns; disrupting the ability for money to flow by delivering critical information to financial institutions; and reducing demand for trafficking by working with businesses with risk of exploitation in their supply chains.

“We are so excited to partner with Mark Allen Foundation,” said Rebekah Lisgarten, director of operations at Stop The Traffik. “Mark Allen Group’s ethos to deliver critical information to specialist audiences is completely in line with our work, whether that message is a critical message of safety to prevent exploitation, disrupt criminal networks or to support a business in their ethical practice. With Mark Allen Foundation we can shine a light on exploitation, protect vulnerable people of all ages, create resilient communities and together, we can Stop The Traffik.”

The Foundation aims to raise significant funds for its two chosen charities through the group’s portfolio of client events and its own fundraising efforts.
