Myself magazine to be launched in Italy

Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman of Condé Nast International, has announced that an Italian edition of Myself magazine will be launched in Italy with the November issue.

Italy will become the second market for Myself, joining Germany, where Myself began publication in 2005 and achieved an audited circulation of 298,291 in the most recent audit. Myself has the stated aim of appealing to “grown up women,” mainly in their 30s and 40s, with a wide range of subject matter, including sections on fashion, beauty, health, food and emotional life.

“Myself can be considered the most successful new magazine in Germany in the past 10 years.  We are confident the concept will work in Italy,” said Newhouse.

Giampaolo Grandi, President of Condé Nast Italy, commented, “Research shows there is a class of modern Italian women, educated and sophisticated, in their 30s and 40s, who will respond to such a magazine produced with Condé Nast’s customary commitment to excellence.”

The editor will be Valeria Corbetta (pictured), who served as editor of Italian Glamour in the 1990s and edited other magazines in the market before returning to Condé Nast as director of editorial development in 2004. Most recently she edited Condé Nast Traveller.
