New contract wins for Air Business

Air Business has recently signed a number of significant new contracts across a number of different publishing sectors.

After a successful tender process, Air Business has been reappointed until the end of 2014 as a key supplier to one of their biggest current clients, Informa and Taylor & Francis.

Informa plc is the global information provider for the academic, professional and commercial markets. Their academic information division publishes books and journals with over 55,000 titles available.

Part of the Informa Group, Taylor & Francis has built on two centuries' experience and grown rapidly to become a leading international academic publisher. Operating from a network of 20 global offices, the Taylor & Francis Group publishes more than 1,500 journals and around 1,800 new books each year, with a books backlist of over 20,000 specialist titles.

Adam Sherman (pictured), Air Business Group Managing Director, said: “We are enormously pleased to have been successful after the tendering process and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with this important client for the next three years. Needless to say, we will carry on providing the highest quality, best value-added services to meet Informa’s business needs.”

Air Business Group has also recently won significant contracts to handle fulfilment and distribution within the consumer publishing market. Key publishers including Condé Nast, Haymarket, Bauer and the Royal Horticultural Society have chosen the Air Business Group as their preferred supplier to manage distribution and fulfilment.

Condé Nast publish some of the world’s most stylish magazines like Vogue, Glamour, Tatler, Vanity Fair, Wired and GQ. Haymarket are behind well known titles Autosport, FourFourTwo, Marketing and What Car among many others. While Bauer publish leading titles such as GRAZIA, Heat, Empire, FHM, MCN and Zoo.

Speaking of these recent wins, Adam Sherman said, “Working within this particular sector demonstrates that the company is attracting an ever-growing portfolio of clients. Our high quality, end-to-end range of services will continue meet the demands of this consumer market both now and into the future.”

And, finally, Air Business has also won significant new business from key academic publishers to manage their UK and International mail distribution.

Wins include Reed Elsevier, BMJ Publishing, Oxford University Press, Rhinegold Publishing, the Royal Society of Chemistry, Palgrave MacMillan, Portland Press, John Wiley & Sons, Nature Publishing Group and The Company of Biologists.

Jonathan Middleton, Group Sales and Marketing Director, said: “I can’t emphasise enough how delighted we are to have been chosen by these academic publishers as the preferred carrier for their fulfilment and distribution. These are very significant wins for us. This is a tremendous testament to the Air Business ethos of consistently delivering the highest quality, best value-added services available. This is why we are seeing such an increase in winning business within the academic sector.
