O2 headline sponsors Vanity Fair Summit

Vanity Fair has announced O2 as the headline sponsor for the inaugural Vanity Fair – Intelligence Squared Digital Summit, taking place on Thursday 11th June at Shoreditch Town Hall in London.

Claire Singer, Corporate Business Director of Vanity Fair comments, “O2 bring with them a wealth of expertise and innovative insights and are the perfect partner for our event. We’re also delighted that O2’s CEO Ronan Dunne, will be joining our lists of esteemed panelists on the day.”

Ronan Dunne, O2 CEO, commented, “We are honoured to be partnering with Vanity Fair for this prestigious event. 2015 marks the 30th anniversary since the launch of mobile networks in the UK and, in that time, we have seen unprecedented change and innovation in how we communicate and live our lives. Our involvement in this summit is testament to our unwavering commitment to bettering people’s lives through the power of digital.”

Henry Porter, London Editor of Vanity Fair adds, “O2’s support adds hugely to the lustre and expertise of the day, and we welcome the company’s participation.”

The Vanity Fair – Intelligence Squared Summit will feature some of the world’s most prominent innovators who are transforming our lives at an ever-increasing speed, and the influential thinkers who are interpreting the opportunities and threats we face. Confirmed speakers include Martha Lane Fox, Sean Rad, Frank Pasquale, Kathryn Parsons, Jamal Edwards, Andrew Keen, Jemima Khan, Beth Noveck and Professor Nick Bostrom.

The debut Vanity Fair – Intelligence Squared Digital Summit 2015 in the UK follows the success of the New Establishment Summit run by Vanity Fair in US last autumn. The London event will take place against two distinctly local trends – the surging tech boom in London and the increasing tensions between Europe and the big American web companies – Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon (GAFA).
