olive celebrates 100th issue

Influential food magazine olive is celebrating its 100th issue with great ideas for Easter cooking, £10,000 worth of competition prizes and the launch of its first ever app, olive’s 50 easiest-ever Italian recipes for the iPad.

olive launched in December 2003 and its mixture of triple-tested recipes, restaurant reviews and food-inspired holiday ideas has made it a firm fixture on the food scene, says the Immediate Media Co, selling close to 100,000 magazines per month. The April print issue is on sale now, priced at £3.60, and looks back at the past eight years, highlighting the changing trends it has championed, from gastropubs to street food.  

Also in the April issue olive features stylish dinners for two for under £5, there are five imaginative recipes for eggs for creative Easter celebrations and there are 100 prizes to be won, worth £10,000 in total. Additionally there is a cover-mounted gift of a sturdy cook’s spoon or measuring spoons set.

For olive fans on the iPad, olive’s 50 easiest-ever Italian recipes offers ideas for every cooking occasion, from starters to mains and puddings for smart entertaining, easy one-pots for a relaxed meal with friends, to quick after-work ideas. All recipes are triple-tested by the olive magazine cookery team and are beautifully photographed. The app is available now, via iTunes, priced £2.99.
