PageSuite launches new custom app for akzente

Akzente, a German current affairs title, has recently launched a new app enabling readers to access the latest news, articles and reports across multiple platforms.

PageSuite developed the Custom App which displays content exclusively in landscape mode to offer readers an enhanced viewing experience. Content can be read in either German or English and the language can be easily controlled by the user via the main app menu.

A stylish menu and sleek app interface offers users the option to search for content, access their ‘favourites’ or return to the home screen. PageSuite developed the app to include ‘progressive download functionality’ which means that content automatically downloads and can be accessed and read offline. Each edition is crafted as per the client requirements and as a result future editions require no app update, says PageSuite.

The app contains previous editions of the magazine so users can access archived content at their convenience. Article pages vary in design to provide the app with a modern and stylish look.

akzente magazine is aimed at key figures from politics and business in Germany and across the rest of the world. In feature articles, reports, images and interviews, akzente puts GIZ’s activities and services under the spotlight. Each issue focuses on a headline topic, giving readers a comprehensive picture that extends from the international debate right down to the practical activities on the ground. The magazine has been honoured with a number of awards to recognise its high level of journalism and design.
