Q's Artists Of The Century Issue

12 months in the making, Q's Artists Of The Century issue hit the shelves yesterday.

The triple-gatefold cover features an "unprecedented" 34 of music's biggest stars... all of whom are either interviewed inside (that’ll be everyone from U2, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Kings Of Leon, Brandon Flowers, Lily Allen, Green Day, Rihanna, Robert Plant and many more) or have their famous friends writing essays on them (Russell Brand on Noel Gallagher, Josh Homme on Arctic Monkeys and Michael Eavis on Coldplay).

Alongside that, 100 celebrities (from Penelope Cruz to Bruce Springsteen, and even Spongebob Squarepants) hand-pick their 100 greatest records of the ‘00s, and Q charts the highs and lows of the decade so far and Q asks "Who The Hell Are...The Noughties?"

Q Editor-in-Chief, Paul Rees says, "We started talking about it a year ago, thinking about what we could do." "We had done 20 covers for the magazine's anniversary issue, we thought everyone else was going to do the 100 best records. We wanted to do the artists of the century, in Q's world. We have managed to get a really broad range of people in there and through the albums featured. It's a good summation of popular music, all of the people there have touched our readers' lives."
