Rock Sound expands its team

Rock Sound, which has been recently been shortlisted for Consumer Media Brand Of The Year, Consumer Magazine Of The Year and Best Use Of Video in PPA Independent Publisher Awards, has announced a number of new appointments.

Ryan Bird, the Editor who steered Rock Sound to back-to-back ABC increases, has been promoted to Publisher where he will build on Rock Sound’s print and digital success as well as expanding the brand into new areas, says the company.

David McLaughlin, formerly Deputy Editor, becomes the new Editor of Rock Sound. Tomas Doyle, previously at Kerrang!, joins as Deputy Editor.

Publisher Ryan Bird has exciting plans for Rock Sound: “After a hugely successful couple of years, now is the perfect time to expand Rock Sound's print, digital and commercial portfolios. We're extremely proud to be the only magazine of our kind continually bucking a trend of decline, and that's down to the vision, hard work and dedication of our hugely talented team. With further expansion and recruitment planned across all departments and a number of exciting projects already underway, 2016 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet, and we're delighted to continue proving that success can be achieved in the rock publishing sector in the modern age.”
