Shephard steps down as CEO of PPA

Jonathan Shephard, CEO of the PPA, has stepped down from his post with immediate effect, it was announced yesterday.

PPA Chief Operating Officer Sarah Tunstall will oversee day-to-day management of the organisation until a new CEO is appointed.  Eric Verdon-Roe, previously Managing Director of Haymarket Media Group, has agreed to act as a consultant to support the organisation during this period.

PPA Chairman Peter Phippen (pictured) said: “Over the past few weeks Jonathan and I have been discussing the best way forward for PPA. It is felt that PPA’s next phase of development should be conducted under a new chief executive. We are now beginning the process of selecting a CEO to take forward the important work of one of the UK’s most successful trade bodies.”

Jonathan Shephard was appointed CEO of the PPA in January 2008 and took up the post on 1 April 2008.
