Soaplife sponsors M1 Management’s celebrity football team

Soaplife, the fortnightly magazine, has announced a sponsorship deal with M1 Management’s celebrity football team, M1 Charity FC.

M1 Management specialise in the management and recruitment of celebrities, models and musicians. Their star-studded football team is made up from a host of Soaplife’s TV favourites, including Emmerdale hunk Danny Miller, who captains the side, Hollyoaks actor and vice captain Anthony Quinlan, ex-Hollyoaker and current footman in drama Upstairs, Downstairs Nico Mirallegro and former-Coronation Street and Dancing On Ice star Danny Young. Plus there are a raft of ex-professional footballers, including the former Valencia, Lazio and Middlesbrough midfielder maestro Gaizka Mendieta.

The deal will see the Soaplife logo proudly emblazoned across M1 Charity FC football shirts, while the match-day programmes will carry Soaplife adverts within them. The Soaplife editorial team will also gain unrivalled access to members of the football team for interview and the sponsorship deal will be supported within the magazine through a variety of house adverts and editorial features.

Soaplife will travel around the country with the M1 Charity team to offer their support as they play in charity games that have been organised either by charities, fundraisers or football clubs to help raise money for Shannon Bradshaw Trust, a Warrington-based UK charity helping children with life-threatening conditions. The team will play in a number of fixtures throughout a season which kicks off in March and ends in September, including a high-profile showdown against Derby County and Premiership Legends at Pride Park on 19th May.

Editor Hellen Gardner for Soaplife says: “Our magazine brings readers more soap news, stories, pictures and soap celebs from their favourite shows than any other soap magazine. To have such brilliant access to an array of popular soap celebs, while supporting the lads as they play around the country to raise money for such a worthwhile cause is a fantastic opportunity.”

Daniel Jillings for M1 Management says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both the football team and Soaplife magazine, firmly placing our team as the number one soap star team within the UK. A team sponsor is a major part of allowing the continued success of our team and we are delighted to welcome Soaplife onboard.”
