Thomas Rathbone: "We're incredibly excited to bring the world of Stitch to life in a whole new way."

Story House Egmont, a children’s publisher, has announced the launch of Disney Stitch magazine in the UK.

Under license by The Walt Disney Company, the publisher says the new monthly title brings the character of Stitch directly to the newsstand. This follows the success of the Disney Lilo & Stitch live-action theatrical release earlier this year, continued Story House Egmont.

According to the publisher, Disney Stitch magazine is packed with engaging activities for children to do independently that resonate with the character. Each issue features a comic story starring Stitch and his ‘ohana (family), alongside a mix of content that focuses on humour and friendship. Aimed primarily at girls aged 7-11, the magazine encourages creativity and problem-solving.

Disney Stitch magazine comes with a covermount designed to be used on and off the page. Disney Stitch magazine went on sale across retailers from Wednesday 30th July.

"We're incredibly excited to bring the world of Stitch to life in a whole new way," says Thomas Rathbone, publisher at Story House Egmont. "This magazine is all about celebrating the power of friendship, embracing individuality, and having fun – all with a healthy dose of Stitch's signature silliness.”
