Stuff announces content partnership in the Philippines

Haymarket has announced a new content partnership with Autobrands Media Ventures Inc (AMVI) to bring Stuff to the Philippines.

AMVI is a wholly Filipino owned publishing company established in September 2015 by a group of motoring journalists, race car drivers and auto enthusiasts. In May 2016, AMVI won the contract for Autocar to license print editions and bring the digital content to their independent website.

The deal builds on the success AMVI has enjoyed with Autocar by bringing Haymarket’s technology media brand to the territory, building upon Stuff’s international portfolio of 11 countries. The new content partnership will reach more than one million Asian consumers every month across the territory’s biggest gadget-buying markets, says Haymarket.

Ira Panganiban, Executive Editor at Autobrands Media Ventures Inc (AMVI) said: “Stuff is published by AMVI, a company created by a group of car enthusiasts who wanted to write about the things they love. It began with Autocar Magazine, which engaged with their love for everything cars. This quickly escalated to everything mobile, with the publication of Wheels Magazine, featuring vehicles like motorcycles, bicycles, segways, skateboards.

“Naturally, this group of men and women have begun focusing their attention on gadgets, technology, watches and apps. This is the reason behind their passion for Stuff.”

Alastair Lewis, Haymarket Consumer Media's Brand & International Director, said: “Stuff has enjoyed a long and successful history in the Philippines and we are delighted that Ira Panganiban and the team will be leading its progress to the next level at this important time. Autocar has gone from strength to strength and we look forward to Stuff doing the same.”
