Telegraph celebrates Queen’s Jubilee

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has produced two glossy souvenir magazines to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The magazines were included as supplements in The Daily Telegraph on Saturday 24 March and in The Sunday Telegraph on Sunday 25 March.

The 52-page magazines, entitled The Queen: Her Life in Pictures, featured more than 150 rarely-seen-before photographs of The Queen in her role as a wife, a mother, a fashion icon and during the most historic events of her reign.

In addition, TMG will also produce a series of 15 collectable souvenir postcards of the Queen, separated into five themes: the Cecil Beaton portraits, the Early Years, the classic portraits, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh and The Queen and her animals.  The postcards will be available for collection from WHSmith High Street stores, Martin McColls, Easons and independent retailers from March 26-30. The postcards are produced in conjunction with the three official exhibition partners - The V&A Museum, The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Collection.

An advertising campaign to support the magazine launch ran on outlets including ITV, Smooth FM, Magic FM and Classic FM in addition to print adverts in Radio Times and regional press titles including the London Evening Standard.

David Greene, Newspaper Sales Director, Telegraph Media Group, said: “We are very pleased to offer readers these stunning magazines and collectable postcards to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee. A lot of resource has been put into ensuring the quality of these free items which we believe to be perfect souvenirs of this special celebration.”
